Vision Committee Mission Statement
The Low Vision Committee of the MOA strives to
promote:
A)
The ideals and objectives of the AOA Low Vision Rehabilitation
Section
B)
The provision of the highest quality of low vision care to
the visually impaired population
C)
Low vision rehabilitation as a necessary part of health care
for patients with vision impairment.
D)
Awareness of optometric low vision rehabilitation on state
and local levels.
E)
The interprofessional cooperation and team approach to low
vision rehabilitation.
F)
Optometry as a resource for other professional, agencies,
and organizations in providing information and consultation
regarding low vision rehabilitation.
G)
Active participation with low vision rehabilitation issues
in state and national organizations.
H)
Education and research for optometrists who provide low vision
rehabilitation services.

Membership and involvement in the AOA and MOA
